This collaborative piece is a celebration of nature, feminine energy and freedom. Soumati’s simple bold lines meet Ma's organic abstract landscape and transport us into a state of flow, softness and openness.
Ma Devaux’ blue background is done through Monoprinting, which is a one-of-a-kind printing technique. The water- type blue brings out some sort of serenity and a sense of letting go. It felt like the perfect place to have Soumati’s beautiful feminine figures take part in this atmosphere.
Soumati's is a self-taught painter and illustrator, inspired by women, emotions and the connections we create with Mother Nature, with ourselves and with others. She immediately connected with the vibrant, spontaneous and captivating work of Marie. Painting on her work was quite unique and magical.
