Hannah Shillito is a contemporary artist whose work is defined by maximalism and the joy of colour. Attention-grabbing, honest and playful, Shillito’s art emanates pleasure and positivity.
Having lived all over the world, and worked as a poet, photographer, children’s author and teacher, Shillito has developed a love of life and words that shines through her work. As she explains: “A picture tells a thousand words, but I like to condense those words and pack a punch.”
Shillito’s art has been shown in exhibitions around the world, including the sell-out show, 100 Brighton Women, which she created during lockdown to raise funds and awareness of the Survivors Network.
